Today, I am sharing my simple coffee table decor. Since we moved the family tree to this room, I felt I had enough going on, with the tree and the mantel. So, I just added some seasonal touches to the coffee table. The table is oversized; so, it can accommodate a lot...and still leave space for snacks and beverages!
The iron bowl sits on the table year 'round. I love to change the accents in it seasonally.
I left the pinecones from my fall decor and simply added ornaments and colorful jingle bells. I love having my seasonal magazines nearby, as well.
I added a bronze candle holder that currently holds a candle from, "Nest". These candles are fabulously fragrant; and the scent lingers long after the candle has been extinguished. I am currently burning 'Moroccan Amber'. Ron, at 'The Uptown Acorn', did a wonderful post on the 'Holiday' scent. You can read about it here.
I love the crystals on the holder; and they work well with all of the other crystal in my decor...
I collect Old World Santas; and I try to add a new one each year. I found this one at Cracker Barrel, in Alabama, over the Thanksgiving weekend. I shared many of the others in my collection last year. (You can see them here.)
I just love his 'expressive eyes'!
So, that's my coffee table...nothing fancy...just a few touches to embrace the season!
Today, I'll be tweaking my entry table. I'm using lots of crystal this year. Here is a sneak peek...

I do the same thing Shenita with using the same bowl and changing out the contents for the different seasons and holidays. We read the same magazines, too. Your coffee table is so elegant and you got a great new Santa.

Lovely! I love those same magazines, too! I used to live in Louisiana, and in fact, met my husband there. Merry Christmas and I enjoyed your post!
ReplyDeleteSouthern Lady magazine is a favorite! Beautiful table!
ReplyDeleteYour coffee table vignette is gorgeous, hardly simple to me, it's so elegant, Shenita! I love the black santa, I'd love to have one too, but I've never seen one around here, maybe someday I'll bring one from Flo. Those magazines are great too. Thanks for dropping by honey, I just got so sad with the latest school tragedy, that I have a shadow over my holidays, I can't wait to go hug my little grands. Many blessings for you and yours, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Ok, yes, the coffee table is fabulous, just like everything else you do, but.....you know I am always "nosing" around looking at other things. I couldn't help but notice the Southern Lady magazine on your table. I just saw this magazine for the first time in Sophie's vet's office the other day and fell head over heel's in love with it! So....I did what any respectable patient would do....I stuck it in my oversized purse and brought it home with me! I tore out the card and told hubby to subscribe. I did ask the reciptionist if I could have it, lol, I am not a thief. Have a great Christmas if I don't get a chance to visit before then.
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Shenita! I like that you are not competing with the tree and mantel. I've got my holiday issues of magazines sitting on my coffee table, too, and even though I've read them already, I will go back through them again throughout the month. I think the covers are like adding some decoration in, too!
ReplyDeleteYou are all decked out with lots of gorgeous Christmas bling.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! And your Santa collection is AMAZING, you really are the queen of collectors, Shenita! I'll be on the lookout for more Santas for you!
ReplyDeletexoxo, Andrea
